As a Board Certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, I have worked extensively with children and adolescents of all ages and understand the unique nature of this relationship. My goal is to provide a warm and compassionate environment that is supportive of improvement and change. In my years of experience, I have always taken a comprehensive and collaborative approach. I prefer working closely with families, psychologists, therapists, teachers, and pediatricians to provide an integrated treatment plan. This allows the approach to be unique to each child.
When appropriate, I carefully consider the use of medication as part of treatment after weighing the benefits, risks, and safety. I have also had several years of therapy experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and supportive therapy. My experience allows me to often draw on these methods in my approach to working with children, adolescents, and adults.
